The Story of Cook Inlet Cabins

Cook Inlet Cabins was created for those who seek balance between design and the natural world.
Welcome to Cook Inlet Cabins
We are Sam and Chelsea Neighbors, a couple who fell in love with Alaska several years ago and never quite stopped dreaming about it. What began as visits and unforgettable moments in this incredible state slowly grew into a shared goal: to one day own property and build something meaningful here. That dream has now become reality, and we feel incredibly grateful to share this special place along the Kenai Peninsula.
The Ninilchik area holds a very special place in our hearts. Its quiet beauty, ocean views, wildlife, and sense of peace are what first captured us, and continue to inspire us every day.
Together, we bring very different backgrounds but the same passion for people and meaningful experiences. Sam is a third-generation coffee roaster, carrying on a family tradition rooted in craftsmanship, care, and connection. Chelsea is a veteran English teacher and soon-to-be school counselor, with nearly two decades of experience working with students and a deep love for helping others grow and feel seen.
Together, we’ve created Cook Inlet Cabins as a reflection of what we love most: comfort, nature, and the unforgettable beauty of Alaska. Our hope is that every guest who stays with us feels that same sense of peace, wonder, and connection that first drew us here.
Alaska is truly a special place, and we feel incredibly fortunate to share it with you.
Come for the views. Stay for the experience.

Sustainability Through Simplicity
We take care of the forest as it takes care of us. From local partnerships to eco-friendly architecture, Cook Inlet Cabins operate with deep respect for its surroundings.
